developing teaching and leadership for 12 years

Amy Mitchell: School Direct Graduate 2018 & Classteacher at St Matthew's Catholic Primary School

"Training as part of the CSP gave me the opportunity to work and learn in excellent schools. The Catholic ethos within the schools was apparent through the children’s behaviour and the support of the staff, which helped me to reach my goals. The support was outstanding and continues into your NQT year and beyond as you flourish throughout your career and become part of your school’s community."

Having worked collaboratively since 2009, The Catholic Schools Partnership was designated as a Teaching Schools Alliance in 2014 and is a respected partnership in Bradford and Keighley, comprising primary and secondary schools of the Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust. Though the Teaching Schools programme ended in August 2021, we continue our strong tradition of Primary & Secondary Initial Teacher Training.

Building on the innovative work carried out by the partnership over the last 12 years, we work with our partners Leeds Trinity University & Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust to secure high standards of ITT by promoting high aspirations, high expectations and nurturing excellent trainee teachers.
